Asanté Gardens
is blessed to have three magnificent 25-year-old durian trees.  These trees were planted from Thai seed by a previous owner of our property, Terris Temple, who is a fine art painter and the first westerner to have mastered Tibetan Buddhist thangka painting.  He is presently the artist to the high Buddhist lama of the Tibetan Kagyu lineage, His Holiness the 17th Karmapa, and to Tsurphu Monastery in Tibet.

In addition to the three old trees, we have several other durian trees growing on the farm.  There are two beautiful 15-year-old Mon Thong durians, which are beginning to produce fruit (2 this year).  We also have one D123 or Chanee, which is a younger tree.  Along with these trees, we have two young seedlings that we planted from seed obtained from the Temple durians.

We also have a good stock of young durian seedlings in our nursery, and we are actively engaged in producing grafts of the Temple, Mon Thong, and Chanee varieties, which we will have for sale.  If you are interested in grafted trees, please let us know:  This email address is being protected from spambots.
